This is an indoor and outdoor game that you can play anytime and anywhere. This game can be played sitting or standing because this game only requires your attention, skill, strategy, and luck. In addition to that, make sure you have 10-15 marbles, same number is required for other player.
Now let’s see how kali jot is played…
1. Number of Marbles
This game is quite simple and all you need is 10 to 15 marbles. It is played between 2 players and both players should have around 10-15 marbles. If the recommended count of marbles is less, then you can simple deny to play the game or wait or look for other player.
As the game progresses, you can eventually play the game with as little as 2 marbles as you can use them to form odd or even patterns and win the game.
2. Rules to Play and Decide Marbles Stake
Now decide at the beginning who will guess the number? And both of you have to decide how many marbles you will have to give if you lose or guess wrong.
- For Kali you can stake 1 marble, 3 marbles or 5 marbles
- For Jota you can stake 2 marbles, 4 marbles or 6 marbles OR
- You can simply stake 1 marble or 2 marbles for Kali or Jota
This means that if you guess the number right, the other player will give you marbles… but if you guess wrong, you will have to give marbles to the other player, and so on, until either you or the other player is left with one marble or nothing.
3. Play Time
So now that both players have some marbles and are familiar with the rules and know how many marbles they have to give up each time they lose, it’s time to see how this game is played smartly and what tricks you can use to fool your rival.
Player A decides, he will guess the number. And on the other hand, player B will hold some marbles in the hand in such a way that they are not visible to player A from any side. In short, the marbles should be closed in the fist and now player A has to guess whether it is Kali or Jota… that means whether the number is odd or even.
If player B has locked 5 marbles in fist, and Player A guess it is Kali then this is a right guess and Player A wins. Alternatively, if Player A guess it is Jota then it is wrong guess and here Player B wins.
This how the game of Kali and Jota is played and trust me guys it is a good fun-loving and time-pass game which you even can play with kids at home.
Kali Jota Winning Trick
Now while playing, I would like to share an important thing and it is… some clever players use smart tricks to fool their opponents. They smartly place 1 marble in fingers like a magician and if the Player guess it is Kali… they add marble in the given count to make it Even. Same if count is Even in their hand and player guess Jota… they add 1 to make it Odd.
This way many players keep winning in the game. Though, it is cheating and against the game rules, but many people do it and this makes the Kali jota game more interesting.
