In this game, there is only a need to earn points, players do not put anything at stake and that is why children of the age of 6-7 years play this game for fun.
To earn points, players need to complete a count of 10 to 100 in the frequency of 10. 1 marble hit means 10 points, 2 marble hits means 20 points and so on till 100. Finally, when the player gets 100 points in 10 hits, he has to put the marble in the pill (hole)… If he succeeds, he is the winner but if he fails he is still in the game and tries to put the marble in the pill in the next turn.
In some regions, the Pill Chot game has a more challenging variation. Instead of placing the marble in the hole only after reaching 100 points, players must place the marble in the hole after each successful hit or series of hits. In this form of the game, the player wagers money or marbles. In most cases players only stake on marbles and it can be 1 marble, 2, 3 or 4 marbles. If you are pro then you can also put 10 to 20 marbles on stake. This makes the game more interesting and each player now play with a strategy.
This game is played between 2 or more players. You can even make teams like if players number 8 you can make 4 teams having 2 players in each team. Otherwise you all can play individual and win marbles.

Suppose there are 5 players, you toss and throw all the marbles away from the pile. The one whose marble is farthest from the hole takes the first turn and the one whose marble is closest to the hole takes the last turn.

But if he fails, other player will try to achieve same thing. This process can also be done the other way round… i.e. first hit the opponent’s marble and then put your marble in the hole to get the winning amount (the marbles).
One more thing: suppose there are 5 players, and you manage to hit 3 marbles at once and successfully place your marble in the hole. The game will not end in this case, as you have only hit the marbles of 3 players. The game ends only when you hit all 4 marbles in a single turn. Otherwise, it will continue, and you may either lose or win marbles along the way.
In some regions, the player who hits all the marbles in 1 round exits the game.. while the other players continue to play and try to win marbles.
In short, the pro level Pill Chot game is… first put marble in the pill, and then check whose marble is near which you can target easily and hit that marble and win marbles.
