India’s squad for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

Squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (Captain), Smriti Mandhana (Vice-Captain), Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (Wicketkeeper), Shree Charani, Yastika Bhatia (Wicketkeeper), Nandani Sharma, Arundhati Reddy, Renuka Singh Thakur, Kranti Goud, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav

Yastika Bhatia and Radha Yadav have made a comeback for the T20 World Cup. Both played their last WT20I match in February 2023 against Australia. The reasons are –  Yastika is an experienced wicketkeeper who serves as an excellent backup option, and is capable of posting substantial scores or contributing effectively during chases. On the other hand, Radha Yadav is an all-rounder who is the perfect replacement for Amanjot Kaur, who is currently injured.

New faces like Bharti Fulmali, Nandani Sharma (uncapped seamer), Sree Charani, Kranti Gaud have joined the Women’s T20 squad for World Cup 2026. The BCCI selected them because they have all performed exceptionally well in recent domestic and WPL matches.  As the T20 tournament is near, and many experienced players like Amanjot Kaur, Kashvee Gautam are injured, BCCI selected these new faces to give a tough fight to opponent nations.
