As per international, national level… In the game of Kho Kho, 12 players from each team play the match of Kho Kho. But out of these 12 players, only 9 from each team play on the field and the rest 3 are on the bench or considered substitutes.
- Total players in Kho Kho are 12 from each team.
- At one time only 9 players will play from each team, while other 3 are on bench as reserved players.
- Chaser team will be on the field with 9 players, 8 will sit in a straight line while 1 would be in the standing position to Chase runners.
- Runner team first send group of 3 players on field. If they all all out, next group of 3 will join the field and so on…!
- If a player gets injured or gets tired while playing, then a player from reserved join the filed and participates.
