 Chris Gayle has made the fastest IPL hundred in 30 ball

Chris Gayle of West Indies who played for RCB in 2013, still holds the first position in the list of fastest 100 in IPL. He scored the fastest century in IPL 2013 against Pune Warriors India. Gayle set a new record by scoring a century in just 30 balls. His innings included 7 fours and 13 sixes, in which he thrashed the bowling of Pune. Gayle’s century was not only fast, but was also an excellent example of his batting.

2. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Youngest Cricketer)

At 2nd, Vaibhav Suryavanshi comes who scored the hundred in just 35 balls. He made his debut in 2025 at the age of 14 and in his third match against Gujarat Titans he scored his first century and it was the fastest century by an Indian player and second-fastest hundred in IPL. 3. Yusuf Pathan (Explosive Performance)

Yusuf Pathan’s name is taken in the cricket world as a batsman who can challenge any bowler. In the year 2014, while playing for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai Indians, Pathan surprised everyone by scoring a century in just 37 balls. His innings included 9 sixes and 6 fours, which shook the Mumbai team. This century of Pathan is considered to be the third fastest century in the history of IPL, recently his record broke by a youngest cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

4. David Miller’s ‘Killer Miller’ style

South African left-handed batsman David Miller played a tremendous innings for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2013. Miller completed his century in just 38 balls and led his team to victory. His innings included 8 sixes and 7 fours, which stunned the RCB bowlers. After this performance of Miller, he came to be known as ‘Killer Miller’.

5. AB de Villiers’ 360-degree show

South African great AB de Villiers has shown his batting prowess many times in the IPL. In 2016, while playing for RCB against Gujarat Lions, AB scored a century in just 43 balls. His innings included 10 sixes and 5 fours, in which he hit every corner of the bowlers. This innings of AB is considered to be the best example of his ‘360-degree’ batting.

Dominance of Indian batsmen in IPL

Apart from foreign players, Indian batsmen have also created history by scoring fast centuries in the IPL. Players like Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya have played stormy innings many times. Virat Kohli scored a century in 47 balls for RCB against Gujarat Lions in 2016, while KL Rahul scored a century in 51 balls for Kings XI Punjab in 2018. Hardik Pandya has also changed the course of the match many times by scoring fast runs in fewer balls.

Till date, 105 centuries have been scored in the India premiere league (IPL) by 56 different batsmen, out of which 30 are Indian players and 26 are overseas players.
