Ranji is a multi-day domestic first-class cricket tournament, organized by BCCI. It is played every year in India, where 38 teams compete. At present its 92 edition is going on, started from 11 October 2026 and will continue until March 3, 2027. So being a cricket fan, if you have been looking for where to watch Ranji Trophy Live (2026/2027), then here’s what we know so far this super exclusive first-class cricket league!
Ranji Trophy matches are like Test matches, played over a period of 4 to 5 days. As there are 38 teams – 32 Elite Teams and 6 Plate Teams, usually 19 matches are played at group stage simultaneously on the same day across both divisions. Hence coverage of each game is not possible.
Because too many matches are played on same day at same time at different venues, it is practically difficult to broadcast every match on TV. Hence only selected group stage matches (having a high value or high demand) will be covered and aired live on TV. While on the other hand, all Knockout stage matches like Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and Final matches will be aired on TV and streamed on the app and website.
In India, Star Sports has the broadcasting rights to air Ranji Trophy matches on TV. On other hand, Jiohotstar is the live streaming OTT partner. So, in India, you can watch the Rajni Trophy matches live only on Start Sports and Jiohotstar with a valid subscription at 9:00 AM / 9:30 AM IST.
- Satellite TV / Cable TV users can watch on Star Sports.
- Smart TV / Mobile users can live stream on JioHotstar.
